It’s 2018, and for a lot of moms, the chemicals we bring into our homes and use around our kids can sometimes be concerning. Natural cleaning and personal care products can be an easy way to make safe changes to your weekly routine, and take some of the worry out of parenting. As a mom I love to worry as little as possible!
I don’t consider myself a crunchy mama; I don’t cloth diaper and I don’t use essential oils, that should clear some things up for you. But I do use some natural products that work great for us and I’ll share them with you in this post!
Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes
I use these wipes to clean just about EVERYTHING. Every non-porous surface in our house, just about. Bathroom counters, toilet seats/lids, table tops, faucets/handles, painted doors, door knobs, even the painted banisters on our stairs! I use the lemongrass scent, its just fresh and clean but doesn’t linger for too long.
Honest Multi-Surface Cleaner
This spray bottle is a life saver in the kitchen, especially if you’re concerned about the chemicals you’re using around your food and your little ones. It cleans great, comes in great scents (I LOVE the grapefruit) and is safe around your food and your kids. I’ve also used it on bathroom counters and the dining room table.
Honest Baby Wash/Shampoo & Conditioner
Once our son wasn’t a newborn anymore, we started using Honest haircare products. I became attached to the sweet orange vanilla scent, and now I will forever associate it with my freshly bathed sweet baby boy. The rare occasions we use something else (we are out of town and I forgot to pack it) I notice a difference in his hair and scalp right away. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen his luscious locks, and safe to say I wouldn’t trust them with just any product. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a baby wash without harsh chemicals and still cleans amazingly well. It even comes in scent-free for sensitive babes!
(This post is not sponsored by The Honest Company, it’s simply a review of products I love. If you’re considering trying Honest products, I recommend their subscription bundles to save money!)
These are just a few things we use and love. I’d love to hear what some of your favorite natural or eco-friendly products are in the comments below! In March I’ll be attending the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA and I can’t wait to share with you all I’ve learned and sneak peaks of new and exciting products on market.
